Taste Nottingham – Moving Feast

I was really excited for this event when my friend at JustMelKate invited me along with her, it was basically a bar crawl but with food, you can’t get much better than that!

The evening was a taster for journalists and bloggers to attend before the four day event took place in Nottingham to help promote new food and drink hotspots as well as celebrating the existing ones that helped put Nottingham on the map.

The first stop was Pitcher & Piano for the starters, which has recently been refurbished and given a new menu. This is one of the places I often chose to go myself so I knew it would be good and it didn’t disappoint. Here we had a selection of tapas stye dishes to chose from, which ranged from mozzarella and Palma ham to chicken and chorizo skewers and calamari as well as many more.

Then we moved on to mains at Pure Craft Bar & Kitchen which is a new restaurant to Nottingham. Where we sampled Pure gold beer and Pork belly with puree mash, apple sauce and black pudding, which had so much flavour I properly could have eaten two more portions.

Finally ending at Rev De Cuba, which is part of a chain who have recently opened in Nottingham. Here we had a cocktail of our choice and churros with chocolate sauce. We of course chose the cocktails that came in the elephant cups, luckily they tasted as good as they looked.

I had a really great evening, getting to sample some new dishes and be introduced to some different places, I think this is a great idea and would definitely attend another one.
