Shopping made easier with Shopcinity

If you are like me I find days out shopping more of a treat now, leading such a busy lifestyle a day out shopping with your friends, mum or boyfriend is something that doesn’t happen as frequently and between the stops for lunch and coffee I don’t always buy as much as when I’m online shopping in my pajamas from the comfort of my own home.

So when I was asked recently to review and try a new shopping app that launches this coming week I jumped at the chance a new way to make shopping quicker and easier and fits into my hectic life all from my phone by allowing you to shop all in one place. By snapping on the go your favourite outfits, you can then upload them directly to the app and find the actual items or similar pieces and when browsing online you can save the url all in the same place ‘tagging is smart shopping’.

You can create a wish list from items on the app or that you have found through images you have downloaded or saved the links to within the app and it will notify you when an item is back in stock or even when the price has been discounted, making it even easier to save and shop all your must have seasonal pieces. No more screenshots or endless bookmarks clogging up your Internet browser, you can shop on the go anywhere.

This new shopping platform not only allows you to shop but also find new inspiration. It’s like Pinterest but you can shop at the same time, there have been so many occasions when I have found the perfect outfit inspiration on Pinterest and after endless scrolling I still haven’t found the item or anything similar, this new app is the answer girls. There image recognition technology will find similar items based on the colour, texture and style, so if you fall in love with an item that’s out of stock or like me usually out of your price range this is a great way to find an alternative.

I have tried to use similar apps in the past but always got confused at how they work, as soon as you sign up there is a brief step by step guide on what the app offers and how to use it. There is a main menu which lets you select which type of clothing you can look through for example, dresses or coats and jackets either for women or men.

The simple and clean design makes it so easy to use and allows the app to flow, making the whole experience more enjoyable. It is really easy to add the items to you wish list either swiping left or clicking on the ‘eye’ symbol. It also gives you the ability to share your wish lists with others via various social media channels, to get their advise or drop hints to your boyfriend or when family members want suggestions for presents.

Two simple steps will then allow you to purchase the items or find your local high street stores that stock the item of clothing if you prefer to try it on before you buy. And that’s not all they are going to be adding directions and opening times so you never have to miss a bargain.

My only suggestion to improve the app is by allowing you to search by brand rather than just the item, if there are brands you prefer and can filter the ones shown it will make it even easier to find what you are looking for.
