October Beauty Must Haves!

Beauty Update!

Don’t get me wrong I am by no means a beauty expert and if someone is willing to do my make up for me I literally jump at the chance and I am always asking and looking for advise on which products would be best for my skin, but I thought I would put together some of the products I have been using recently and loving to share with you.

Firstly over the past few months I have been using the Smooth Skin Muse IPL hair removal tool which helps to reduce regrowth and allow you to have silky smoother skin for longer. I was first introduced to this brand at the BlogConLDN event in June, I have always said I would love to have hair lazer removal treatment so when I was contacted after the show I jumped at the chance to work with then and to try this option out.

The actual tool is really easy to use and light weight, there is a sensitive button option for use on more intimate areas and the lights on the side change to green when it is positioned correctly and ready to use. Personally I didn’t think it hurt at all, it makes more of a noise than a stink even on sensitive areas, I first tried it out on my underarms because normally I have to shave them everyday in summer and I saw an improvement really quickly, slowing hair growth down. You have to be a lot more dedicated when it comes to your legs though because the area is so much bigger and tricker to make sure you don’t miss any spots but so worth the persistence.

It also has a built in UV filter to prevent skin damage, you can read more and watch the video of it in action   by following this link – currently they are offering a saving of £100 too.

Secondly I got to sample the September edition of the Birch Box, I have previously heard lots about these subscription boxes but never got around to trying it out, it’s like a monthly gift to yourself full of little treats to try.  It’s such a good way to try a product without having to purchase the full size version without knowing if you will like it.

It included five different products to try including the Benefit Cosmetics Box O’ Powder in Gold Rush which smells divine, the Sands & Skye Pink Clay Exfoliating treatment, the Marcelle Cosmetics anti-pollution moisturising emulsion, the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Riche and the Klorane nourishing conditioner with mango butter, such a good mix of different beauty products and the little miniature versions are so cute.

You get 5 different products to try each month which you can personalise your preferences, you just sign up for the subscription package you would like online. If you sign up for the whole year too you actually end up getting one whole box free, find out more or sign up by following this link – it is such a great gift idea as well.

And thirdly I was gifted this Body Shop set at a recent styling event at Intu Derby, I was really impressed with the amount and range of products all with very autumnal scents.

I don’t know about you but during Autumn and Winter my skin gets so dry from the mix of cold weather and heating so I am constantly smothering my self in creams and oils and there are some really great ones in this set, they do a day time face oil and a night time face cream. I enjoyed a pamper evening testing all the products out alongside my Prestat Ruby Chocolate bar chocolate cocoa nibs with roasted almonds, shop here (p.s if you are treating yourself you have to order the truffles too they are so tasty) and my new Yankee candle.

You can view The Body Shop range here –

I hope you’ve enjoyed this post if you have any questions about any of the products shared above then please comment below and I will get back to you 🙂
