A review of the new beauty products I have used in January.
Throughout the past month I have been gifted several different new beauty products to try, so I thought I would do a short review of some of my favourite ones that I think you would all like too. Beauty and taking better care of my skin and hair is something i’ve never really been very good at, I have always been more interested in the fashion pages of magazines and blogs spending evenings scrolling through fashion websites over make up and skincare so this year I am keen to learn more and look after myself better, at 26 its properly about time if i’m not planning on ageing gracefully. Luckily I have good genes so I am hopeful I can turn it around now and try lots of new products that will still help prevent the wrinkles and keep my skin looking youthful for as long as I possibly can, despite all this though I do still get spots, which I thought was one of the perks of getting a bit older not having to deal with breakouts, so if anyone has any suggestions for combination skin please send them my way.
So Firstly I have been using the ‘wet brush’ which is really lightweight and helps detangle wet hair really easily, my sister did tell me off for brushing my hair when it’s still wet but in my defence I usually only part dry my hair and then leave it to dry naturally so I prefer to brush it when it’s wet than not at all and this brush is designed specifically for wet hair and to prevent breakages, I find this brush really good and easy to use on both wet and dry hair.
It is available on amazon, cult beauty and boots ranging from £9.99 to £10.99 and available in lots of different designs, as well as the miniature version for your handbag or the folding design brush, you can shop here.
Next up I have been using the Hempz pure herbal extracts shower gel, which is pomegranate scented, it smells so nice and feels really soft on your skin. It is 100% vegan made from natural extracts to help moisturise your skin and is also part of a full range including a body scrub, hair care and moisturiser. It is a good size bottle too so lasts a while, you can purchase this item on just beauty at the cost of £11.27, available here.
And finally the latest must have make up palettes by Profusion Cosmetics which is an LA based brand with 20 years of success that have now just announced their launch in the UK and mostly importantly cruelty-free. I always find make up way more exciting when it comes in a large palette like these, I have been using the Strobe and Glow palette which retails at £12.50 and the Pro Conceal and Contour Palette which is soon to be released. I am defiantly going to have to get a full lesson on all the different contour options from my sister but I have been really impressed with what I have used so far and with lots of options to chose from their is something for everyone, see their whole collection here and if you sign up to their newsletter you can save 10% on your first purchase.
