Nottingham’s New Hot Spots

Roxy Ball Room, First floor,10 Thurland Street, Nottingham NG1 3DR

I wasn’t really sure what to expect when we were invited to the launch night of Roxy Ball Room in all honesty I was really pleasantly surprised it looked great. Bright lights and graffiti decorated the tall ceilings and large space, with a separate room you can hirer out for parties or socials. It’s such a fun interactive evening, from the photo booth to the games, you can play beer pong, pool or ping pong their is something for everyone. The music created a really good atmosphere and with a large drinks menu and a range of snacks and dishes you can easily spend the whole night here. I can’t wait to go back!

The highly anticipated opening of The Botanist in West Bridgford reached a new level, it felt like we were waiting ages for this to open because we were so excited for a new cocktail hang out on the avenue. So when we were invited to the opening night we jumped at the chance, I went along with fellow bloggers Jess at Jess Who and Laura at Laura Snow we had such a lovely night drinking cocktails and sampling their menu.

The decor is amazing with a rustic feel but very heavily decorated with lots to look at and take in I don’t feel like I got chance to fully appreciate the interiors. They have pulled out all the stops, with chicken drumsticks served in mini picnic baskets and sauces in miniature wheel barrows and cocktails in plant pots. There was plenty of flavour to each dish we tried and everything tasted so good, there was so much choice especially on the drinks menu I feel like we only scratched the surface. Its definitely going to be our new go to bar on the avenue perfect for a meal out in the week or drinks on the weekend.
