For this week’s post I am going to share my tips on styling the chunky trainer trend, there are many different colour variations, from all white or rose gold to brightly coloured designs. I don’t know about you but I have always been a sucker for trainers and probably actually own more trainers than I do heels. Trainers don’t have to be kept for the gym or exercising. You can easily incorporate them into your everyday style and at the end of the day your feet won’t be in agony. I will mostly be looking at Spring/Summer looks but you can wear them all year round, some of the looks will include loungewear but others a little dressier.
Firstly I am going to share some of my previous looks where I have styled other chunky trainers and what I wore them with.
As you can see I have styled them in very different ways from pretty chiffon wrap dresses to more on trend looks with the cycling shorts and a blazer or with jogging bottoms for a relaxed everyday look. Trainers are a great way to play with your style and experiment with new looks. I personally find it easier to style white trainers but if you wear more neutral colours than choosing trainers with a brighter colour through them it can be an easy way to add some colour and a statement to your outfit. I did have a pair of neon orange and white trainers in this style though which I absolutely loved.
Here’s some other styles I like, all images are from Pinterest – see more looks with this trend here – Outfit Inspiration.
Again such a mix of looks, I really want to try the trainer and sock combo and I love it styled with a slip dress. The classic looks is to wear trainers with jeans but they also look great with a casual suit or even a floaty maxi skirt, the key is to keep the overall look quite simple, to achieve the ultimate trendy look.
There is such a mix of different colours and styles, I want one of each pair. Which ones are your favourite? I hope you have enjoyed my latest post and found some new style ideas, I always enjoy scrolling through Pinterest or Instagram and reading blog posts to find new outfit inspiration.
Thank you Becca…X
