This week I have been working with Hawes & Curtis, styling the classic white shirt. With more than 100 years experience you can’t fault them on quality or fit, each shirt arrives boxed and wrapped giving a luxurious feel, without the high price tags. All of their shirts are available on multi buy offers too so why stop at just the one.
I was set the challenge of reworking the beloved white shirt, best known for being worn in the office along side the awkwardly fitting suit. I have put together three different looks, styling it with denim for a more casual everyday look. First up I teamed it with the playful denim pinafore from New Look and my go to Topshop open toe and backless black ankle boots which I refuse to part with, this could also be worn with flat sandals or Converse though as an alternative to heels.
For the second style I teamed it with a buttoned denim skirt this one is from Trafford Outlet, bright Topshop heels and a chocker necklace I got from ASOS this look is great to go from day to night. And lastly I wore it with these rip effect denim jeans from Zara, suede sandals from ASOS and added a bit of colour with the red River Island scarf. The shirt I chose is actually part of their 3/4 length range but I always like to wear it rolled up to give the overall style a more casual relaxed feel. However wearing a shirt is a great way to make your outfit a bit smarter or dressier as the perfect alternative to a plain t-shirt.
